A bit late of a comment but, to turn this upside down: What about women who hate the thought of gay marriage? Why is it they dislike it then? The two strongest sentences i’ve heard personally, for and against gay marriage, came in defence for it from a man and in an attack against it by a woman who directly comparing it with alcoholism in being “bad for society”.

Unsuprisingly, I disagree with the “allows”, in the first line. Namedly I disagree with it being a wrong term or universally true.

Advanced feminist truth from slythwolf. It’s the most difficult thing about gender issues, the communication of the idea that women don’t really have agency in a patriarchy. Many women are in denial about it, and I might be also. I appreciate the correction.

It’d be nice if you didn’t say “allows” in the first sentence, because the women you describe don’t actually have any power to allow or disallow.
